The Countdown is On!
I seem to remember saying back in July "You'll be looking for this time in October!" Guess what? We are looking for it. Rain is in the forecast for all day tomorrow, and we have work to do. Hopefully we will be able to get out some tomorrow. It will not be the end of the world if we can't. I can work on music for days, but we really have more cleaning to do. After we got going today, things went well. We seemed to get a lot done in a very short time. We have to continue on this track. There are a lot of uncertainties involved at lower state but is not doubt. We will go into this weekend knowing that we did everything we could to be perfect in October. Today every students raised their hand again to the ultimate question. "How many of you are willing to do what it takes?" Again the response was unanimous.
There are only two more full rehearsals until lower state. Are you willing to do what it takes over the next two rehearsals? I hope so because I am! Now where should we put that snare drum after we perform on Saturday? Back on the truck? Or should we keep it close? I'll let you know later.
