An Honor

It was my great pleasure to stand on the field last night with so many great friends and students. I had to remind myself to take it all in and for once...I did. It was nothing less than the thing that movies are made of and books are written of, for me. I am honored to have been a part of it all. Thank you to all.

I am thrilled for the students, Mr Brady, the wonderful staff and parents who make up the Dutch Fork Band Family. Simply put, one fine group of people. I consider myself honored to be associated with them one and all.

My two cents...
Felt compelled to share... as I watched your band march out and perform (twice) Saturday night (so proud) and as I observed the other bands i. e. the high degree of self-discipline, the execution of skill, professionalism, motivation and enthusiasm, and yes, maturity, I remember thinking how proud I am of my sons for choosing to participate in such a rewarding experience! Thank you for giving so much of your self and your talent to your students; our sons and daughters. Somehow to state that we are very fortunate to have you as Director of Bands at Dutch Fork High School seems understated – so I'll just have to be bold and say we LOVE YOU and we LOVE YOUR LEADERSHIP (so glad they're in your band)! Congratulations to you and the students on a very successful marching band season!

What is a Brady Band?? Our kids could not understand that until they picked up right where they left off last year as they understood the discipline and practice and respect that it took to become a 'Brady Band'. I am so proud to call Jon and Cindy my friends to begin with but now they are Family! The band has become a family that as gotten noticed. Don't think other bands didn't notice us everywhere we went...'love your show' is what we heard...love DF!! Other kids stopping us and telling us good luck from other bands and not just a few ALOT! The kids are earning that respect themselves. We parents are just doing our part and let them be a 'Brady Band'. We love you man! Whatever we need to do I think you have a group of parents that are willing to do whatever!!!

Now on to the growth part of band! Region band and indiviual practice and awards. This is fun too!
