How Bad Do You Want It!
This whole thing could come down to the band that wants it bad enough. I want to see us score a 90 or higher at state. We know the show and we are continuing to get better. This is a long season for sure. We started 3 months ago. Now is not the time to let up. I know we can do it and maybe even be the surprise of the year if we can just keep things together and continue to improve. All the bands at state will be great. They will all have their shows perfected. What it will come down to is who has the best show and who wants it the most. I am not about to give up after all but final 6 rehearsals.

I am not going to get political so don't get me wrong. In an interview this morning on the 'Today'show OBama stated that the slipped in the poll when they got complacient (sp). He said he saw it numerous times during the campaign and now they have a push to the very end not giving an inch.
This is where we are at as a band. Parent can't do it. Director can't do it. KIDS you have to do it! Push to the very end not giving anyone an inch! not a cm, mm nothing!!
WIN it and surprise everyone...you kids have to do though! We are behind you...we love you all- your parents!
I saw this interview this morning as well and instead of thinking about the politics of it....also related it to band. Now is the time to work your hardest. Put in the most effort. Concentrate the most. Band....listen to your director. Director....listen to your band. It will pay off if you keep pushing for the end! I know you ALL can do it......GO BAND!
