In About 9 hours...

In about 9 hours, it will be said and done for lower state. What began in 100 degree heat will be told on a football field in Santee. If things go our way, we should have the AAA Lower State Championship and be in line to perform last at state in Clinton in one week. If things go otherwise, we still have done everything we could to be the best we were capable of being. All being the same, the students told me many months ago they wanted to go for the win so go for win we have. I have pushed the band beyond their usual capabilities and they have responded with outstanding performances all year long. I have no doubt that no matter how tonight turns out, we will have one more week of outstanding rehearsals. I feel like no matter has been left unexplored for tonight's performance and sometimes that is all you can ask for. What do I ask? For an opportunity to do our best. What we do and have done are the things movies are made from, the biggest difference is this is our story and we have lived it and will continue to do so. We have done what some many others have not. We have worked through extreme conditions and now...We have an opportunity to reach our goals.
