To the Piedmont!

While the most of the Columbia area bands will stay close to home today, we will be traveling to the upstate. Spartanburg to be specific. Why? We are in a new and unknown situation this year with ourselves being moved into 3A. We must see where we stand at this point with the power house bands of the upstate. As of late, these bands have been larger than the bands in our area and they typically enjoy a little better weather. It usually doesn't get as hot up there. Just look at the state champions from last year. All except for one was from the upper part of the state. I don't have the answers for today but I certainly hope everybody is focused on the task at hand and not on the "other stuff". In a little over 12 hours, we will truly know how well we rehearsed this past week.
