A Tuesday that Worked?
Tuesday's are notorious for being our worst rehearsal day. Today was different. We really got some things done. The opener is finally getting clean. Thursday is the closers turn. There is rain in the forecast but hopefully we will get some time outside in. I know I haven't really commented on last Saturday but I will when the season comes to an end on Saturday. I just really want to stay focused on Finals at this point. It was really cold again today. Even colder than yesterday but at least I wore jeans today. I nearly froze yesterday! The kids have really stepped it up this week. We seem to still be off the radar as far as being a contender for the state championship. That is fine with me.
I gave the kids a sheet called "So You Want to Win State?" today with lots of things we need to do to have a chance. Kids, please don't give those sheets to anybody in other bands. That is the real stuff and for you only. Parents, of course you can look at it.
Tomorrow is our afternoon off but not really. Not if we want a chance to win it all. Tomorrow is individual practice day!

you can bet ill be practicing my music tomarow thanks mr brady for bein an awesome Director i hope we make you real proud this weekend and thx for the awesome percussion instructor i hope this is the first of many years that you will lead us to victory again thanks for bein such an awesome director/person!!!!!!!!

People do not agree that Swansea deserved to win on Saturday. Many of the band members here at Aiken believe that Silver Bluff should have won, I don't. I want you guys to prove them wrong and win STATE! Good Luck on Saturday, and I will see you there!
Youre right.....we were and still are are the under dogs. However, we obviously have it in us to play and march the best show. Just keep working, PRACTICE HARD, and go win this thing! I, too, want you to prove them all wrong! Prove that you are the finest and classiest band on the field! Now....GO WIN STATE!
