Progress Continues
Progress continues but so does the heat. There is not much relief in sight for us as far as the heat goes but we are getting things accomplished. This morning was a slow start for us as we are still having some difficulty with the warm-up. We probably spent about 45 minutes working on it but that is time well spent. We are up to page 19 in the drill but still need to add 6 more to reach our daily goal. Indoor music rehearsal is next.

Thanks for the updates...us band geek parents love to read. Kids don't talk much after getting home. To tired or 'wait and see' on parents night. Keep up the posting.

Pat....band directors don't talk much when they get home either. Must be the heat!! Just wanted the band and staff to know that
I'm so proud of you guys for getting so much done already....especially in this weather. I feel pretty certain this progress will count for a lot once the competition season starts. I can't wait to see you all at parents night! keep on working hard, hang in there and stay hydrated!!
That was the longest warm-up that I have EVER had, but it was time well spent.
I mean, everyone knew the new warm-up after that. But obviousness aside... when I was grabbing some water, I thought, "WOW. That sounded pretty good."
I never remember thinking that after a warm-up. Just occasionally being amazed that my reed would still play or something like that.
So... yeah. The year's just getting started, and I'm already psyched. Yayz, band! =D
