A Search for Consistency

We are up...We are down...We are up...We are down...We are up...We are up...We are down. Hey! at least there are four ups and only three downs. Seriously we are lacking consistency. We need consistently great rehearsals if we are to have a chance at the our ultimate of goal of being the best we can be. Below is a list of what I wanted to accomplish at rehearsal:

1. Basics block
2. Clean the end of the opener
3. Clean the first 2/3rds of the Interlude
4. Clean the end of the Finale

Here is what actually happened:

1. Basics block
2. Cleaned the end of the opener
3. Tried the new arrangement of the transition between the opener and ballad
4. Cleaned the first 2/3rds of the Interlude
5. Stopped about 10 minutes early due to inattention

It was not a bad rehearsal. It just wasn't as good at it could or needs to be. The problem is that we are now behind for the week. So what do we need to do Thursday:

1. Clean the end of the Interlude and beginning of the closer.
2. Clean the ballad as best that we can.
3. Clean the end of the show (this is what we didn't do today).
4. Get in at least 2 full runs of the entire show.

Problem=WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME!!!! The great equalizer strikes again. I really don't know or care what the other bands are doing at this point. I just want to realize our potential. Oh by the way there is a chance of rain for Thursday! Now back to meditation...I will not have a meltdown if it rains...I will not have a meltdown if it rains...I will not have a meltdown if it rains....(remind of this Thursday if it rains!).

You will NOT have a melt down if it rains!!! I will work hard to make sure we stay focused towards the end of practice for now on.
