Percussion Concert

Tonight was the first full percussion only concert at Dutch Fork High School. It was a great success. The high school percussion group under the direction of Mr. Greg Apple performed the following compositions:

The University of South Carolina percussion ensemble under the direction of Dr. Scott Herring also came and performed two pieces.

I believed many were surprised at the variety of sounds and at the skill level of which of the groups produced. We are very fortunate to have Mr. Apple to work with us. I thank him for putting all this together. It is just more proof that, although a slow process, things are changing and new traditions are being created at Dutch Fork.
