Great Winter Concert

The concert was great. The mallet quartet was a perfect start and they really played well for it being such a hard thing to do. They were the only students that had to stand up in front of everybody and play with no conductor. The concert and symphonic bands did very well too. They are far ahead of where we were a year ago. Perhaps some of them understand why we work so hard in class now. As for the Wind Ensemble, they were great. Many, many good things happened and as the program progressed a truly superior group come through. I have never programed such as difficult concert. Two grade 4's, a 5, and a 6. That is something considering we just finished with marching band. Things look good for concert festival. And to think it was all Holiday music except for Second Suite in F but then again the last movement does use a bit of a Christmas piece. My back is killing me but it is worth it.

What a wonderful concert. It may have been raining outside...but kids were shining bright on the inside. Thank you Mr. B for all your hard work. I hope your back feels better! I know a great massage person if you need one!
